School Residencies
PUPPET CONSTRUCTION & PERFORMANCE
Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre artists teach classroom residencies in Puppet Construction and Performance. Students construct their own puppets and learn how to bring them to life through movement and voice. The artist develops the stories for the student creations, leads the students in making their own puppets and directs the class in a performance.
Possible Stories:
- Where the Wild Things Are
- Frog Girl (Native American)
- Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock (West African)
- Momotaro the Peach Boy (Japanese)
Cost:
- $60 per session
- (5-day residency is $300 per classroom plus materials)
- While a standard residency is 5 days, we can also do a 4-day residency
